Monday 2/22 Mirrorless Monday- Multiple buildings across campus will have their mirrors covered in an attempt to help people value themselves from the inside out.People will be asked to write positive affirmations on the paper as a statement of self-care. Mary Greeley Medical Center Auditorium- A training for area clinicians; behavioral health staff from area treatment facilities, dieticians, nurses, physicians, school counselors graduate students studying in FMT, FSHN, KIN or PSYCH; and others involved in the treatment team/Eating disorder treatment Wednesday 2/24 Don’t fight your genes- change your JEANS- Memorial union main hall way between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and drop off the jeans you no longer wear (or bring them to any of our events this week)—accept the body you have.All jeans will be donated to charity. Thursday 2/25 Open house- Lied Recreation Facility- 3-5 p.m. - co-sponsored by ISU Wellness, ISU Dining and the student nutrition club.Stop by the recreation center, enjoy a free smoothie and gather vital information about your health. Friday 2/26 Freedom Friday- SCS ED outreach team offers presentations to area college, high school & junior high classrooms throughout central Iowa; discussing ways to experience freedom from negative body image/food behaviors and how to help a friend who is struggling with an eating disorder.
